community solar referral programs
Share the Harvest Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: October 1, 2026

1. Campaign period
The PureSky Energy “Share the Harvest” Referral Campaign, the “Campaign,” begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time on October 1, 2026, and ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 26, 2026, the “Campaign Period.”
PureSky Energy’s records will be used to determine whether a referral or enrollment was submitted within the Campaign Period.
2. Eligibility
The Campaign is open to active PureSky Energy community solar customers in:
- Illinois
- Massachusetts
- Minnesota
- New York
The referring customer, the “Referrer,” must have an active PureSky community solar subscription and be in good standing when a reward is issued.
The person being referred, the “Referred Customer,” must:
- Be a new PureSky customer who has not previously enrolled in a PureSky community solar program;
- Have an eligible utility account within a participating PureSky community solar service area;
- Meet all program, project, utility, geographic, capacity, credit, income, or other applicable eligibility requirements;
- Complete all required enrollment steps;
- Sign a community solar subscription agreement during the Campaign Period; and
- Remain an active PureSky subscriber through the applicable qualification period.
Enrollment and program availability are subject to project capacity and applicable utility service-area requirements.
3. How to make a qualifying referral
To receive credit for a referral, the Referred Customer must be connected to the Referrer through one of PureSky’s approved referral methods, such as:
- Using the Referrer’s personal referral link;
- Entering or identifying the Referrer’s name during enrollment; or
- Being manually connected to the Referrer in PureSky’s records before the Referred Customer’s enrollment is finalized.
Each Referred Customer may be connected to only one Referrer. If more than one person claims the same referral, PureSky’s records and the earliest verifiable referral connection will determine which Referrer receives credit.
Self-referrals, duplicate enrollments, fraudulent submissions, test records, fictitious accounts, and referrals for existing or former PureSky customers do not qualify.
4. What counts toward the Campaign
A referral will count toward Share the Harvest Ambassador levels when the Referred Customer:
- Is an eligible new customer;
- Completes the required enrollment process;
- Signs a PureSky community solar subscription agreement between October 1 and November 26, 2026; and
- Subsequently completes the qualification requirements described in these terms.
A countersigned agreement or final eligibility confirmation may occur after November 26, provided the Referred Customer signed and submitted the required enrollment agreement during the Campaign Period.
Referrals made before October 1 or after November 26 do not count toward the Share the Harvest milestone bonuses.
5. Successful referral requirements
A referral becomes a “Successful Referral” after the Referred Customer:
- Meets all applicable program and service-area eligibility requirements;
- Completes all enrollment requirements;
- Has a completed and countersigned PureSky community solar subscription agreement;
- Becomes an active PureSky subscriber;
- Completes two full billing cycles as an active subscriber; and
- Has not canceled or otherwise become ineligible before completing the two required billing cycles.
The two-billing-cycle requirement aligns with PureSky’s existing referral qualification structure.
Rewards will not be issued for Referred Customers who cancel, fail to complete enrollment, do not qualify for an available program, do not become active, or do not complete the required billing cycles.
6. Standard referral reward
For every Successful Referral:
- The Referrer will receive a $100 e-gift card; and
- The Referred Customer will receive a $100 e-gift card.
There is no stated limit on the number of standard referral rewards a participant may earn during the Campaign, subject to these terms, program availability, and verification by PureSky.
7. Share the Harvest Ambassador levels
Only Successful Referrals originating during the Campaign Period count toward the following seasonal Ambassador levels.
Sunrays: One to four Successful Referrals
A Referrer with one to four Successful Referrals will receive the standard $100 referral reward for each Successful Referral.
Stars: Five to nine Successful Referrals
A Referrer who reaches five Successful Referrals will receive:
- The standard $100 reward for each Successful Referral; and
- A one-time $100 Share the Harvest Star bonus.
The $100 Star bonus may be earned only once during the Campaign.
Supernovas: 10 or more Successful Referrals
A Referrer who reaches 10 Successful Referrals will receive:
- The standard $100 reward for each Successful Referral;
- The one-time $100 Share the Harvest Star bonus; and
- An additional $500 Supernova bonus for every 10 Successful Referrals.
For clarity:
- 10 Successful Referrals earn one $500 Supernova bonus;
- 20 Successful Referrals earn two $500 Supernova bonuses;
- 30 Successful Referrals earn three $500 Supernova bonuses; and
- The same calculation continues for each complete group of 10 Successful Referrals.
Partial groups do not qualify for a prorated Supernova bonus. For example, 15 Successful Referrals qualify for one $500 Supernova bonus, not one and one-half bonuses.
8. Reward stacking
The Share the Harvest milestone bonuses are cumulative.
A Referrer who reaches Supernova status may receive:
- The standard $100 reward for each Successful Referral;
- The one-time $100 Star bonus earned at five Successful Referrals; and
- The applicable $500 Supernova bonus for every complete group of 10 Successful Referrals.
The Star bonus does not replace the Supernova bonus, and the Supernova bonus does not replace standard per-referral rewards.
9. Existing Ambassadors
Existing Star and Supernova Ambassadors retain their existing Ambassador status and any benefits previously awarded under the applicable program terms.
However, prior referrals do not count toward Share the Harvest milestone bonuses.
An existing Ambassador must generate:
- Five new qualifying Campaign referrals to earn the $100 Share the Harvest Star bonus; and
- 10 new qualifying Campaign referrals to earn a $500 Share the Harvest Supernova bonus.
Existing Ambassador status alone does not automatically trigger a Share the Harvest bonus.
10. Pending referrals after November 26
A referral submitted during the Campaign Period may remain pending after November 26 while the Referred Customer:
- Completes enrollment verification;
- Receives a countersigned agreement;
- Becomes active on an eligible community solar project; or
- Completes the two required billing cycles.
Provided the Referred Customer signed and submitted the required enrollment agreement during the Campaign Period, the referral may mature into a Successful Referral after the Campaign ends.
The corresponding standard and milestone rewards will be issued only after all qualification requirements have been completed and verified.
11. Reward issuance
Rewards will be issued after PureSky confirms that all applicable requirements have been met.
Rewards are expected to be issued as e-gift cards to the email address associated with the participant’s PureSky account. Participants are responsible for ensuring their contact information is accurate and current.
Rewards:
- Have no cash alternative except where required by law;
- May not be transferred, sold, or assigned;
- May be subject to separate terms imposed by the gift-card provider; and
- May be subject to applicable federal, state, or local taxes.
Participants are responsible for any tax obligations arising from rewards received.
12. Referral communications and disclosure
Referrers must communicate truthfully and must not make false, misleading, unsubstantiated, or unauthorized claims about PureSky, community solar, savings, eligibility, environmental benefits, utility programs, or reward availability.
When posting or sharing a referral publicly, participants should clearly disclose that they may receive a reward if someone enrolls through their referral. The FTC states that a material connection between an endorser and a marketer should be disclosed clearly and conspicuously when the connection could affect how consumers evaluate the endorsement. [ftc.gov], [ecfr.gov]
Suggested disclosure:
“I may receive a referral reward if you enroll through my link.”
Referrers may not:
- Send unlawful, deceptive, or unsolicited bulk communications;
- Misrepresent themselves as employees, agents, or authorized representatives of PureSky;
- Make guarantees beyond PureSky’s approved program materials;
- Use paid advertising containing PureSky’s name or trademarks without prior written permission; or
- Collect or submit another person’s personal information without that person’s permission.
13. Capacity and availability
Participation in an eligible utility service area does not guarantee enrollment. Community solar subscriptions are subject to:
- Available project capacity;
- Utility and geographic eligibility;
- Program-specific restrictions;
- Required documentation;
- Customer qualification; and
- Final acceptance by PureSky.
If capacity is unavailable, a Referred Customer may be placed on a waitlist. Waitlist placement alone does not constitute a Successful Referral or guarantee a reward.
14. Verification and disqualification
PureSky reserves the right to review and verify all referrals, enrollments, subscription statuses, billing-cycle requirements, and reward calculations.
PureSky may invalidate referrals or withhold rewards in cases involving:
- Fraud or suspected fraud;
- Duplicate or fictitious accounts;
- Self-referrals;
- Manipulation of referral records;
- Misrepresentation of customer identity or eligibility;
- Unauthorized use of another person’s information;
- Violation of these terms; or
- Conduct intended to circumvent the Campaign rules.
PureSky’s good-faith determination regarding eligibility, verification, qualification, and reward calculations will be final, subject to applicable law.
15. Campaign changes or termination
Subject to applicable law, PureSky may modify, suspend, extend, or terminate the Campaign if fraud, technical failures, project-capacity constraints, regulatory changes, operational issues, or circumstances outside PureSky’s reasonable control affect the Campaign’s integrity or administration.
Any change will not invalidate rewards already earned by participants who completed all qualification requirements before the effective date of the change, unless required by law or necessary to address fraud or an administrative error.
16. Privacy
Information collected in connection with the Campaign will be handled in accordance with PureSky’s Privacy Policy and applicable law.
By participating, customers authorize PureSky to use enrollment, subscription, referral, and billing-status information as reasonably necessary to administer the Campaign, verify eligibility, calculate rewards, and communicate program updates.
17. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PureSky is not responsible for:
- Lost, late, incomplete, misdirected, or incorrectly attributed referrals;
- Incorrect or outdated customer contact information;
- Technical, website, email, telecommunications, or system failures;
- Delays in utility processing, project activation, or billing;
- Gift cards sent to an incorrect email address supplied by a participant; or
- Events outside PureSky’s reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
18. Governing terms
These Share the Harvest Terms and Conditions supplement PureSky’s general Referral Program Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Terms of Use, and the applicable community solar subscription agreement.
If there is a conflict relating specifically to the Share the Harvest milestone bonuses, these Campaign terms will govern during the Campaign Period. All other program and subscription requirements remain in effect.
