Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Solar and BESS Asset Manager to oversee the performance, maintenance, and optimization of our solar and BESS assets located in New York and Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical analysis skills, on site project management capabilities, and the flexibility to travel and be on-site at operating projects approximately 50% of the time.

What we’re looking for:

  • Asset Performance Management: Monitor and analyze the performance of solar and BESS assets to ensure optimal operation and efficiency.
  • Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and longevity of assets, including scheduling inspections, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Technical Analysis: Conduct in-depth technical analysis to identify opportunities for performance improvements and cost savings.
  • Contract Management: Manage contracts with third-party service providers, ensuring compliance with performance standards and budgetary constraints.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with asset performance, regulatory compliance, and safety.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular reports on asset performance, maintenance activities, and financial performance for internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, permits, and industry standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders including landowners, regulatory agencies, and local communities.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Assist in the development and management of annual budgets for asset operations and maintenance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve asset performance, efficiency, and profitability through technological advancements and process enhancements.
  • Troubleshooting of routine outages such as communication systems, DAS connectivity, PV and BESS faults, and relay and coordinate work with O&M providers.

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or related field/practical experience.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in asset management, operations, or technical support in the solar or energy storage industry.
  • Strong technical analysis skills, including experience with performance monitoring software and data analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of communication languages for devices in the field.
  • Experience with PV and BESS operating issues and factors affecting performance.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to solar and energy storage operations.
  • Willingness to travel and be on-site at operating projects approximately 50% of the time.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to address complex issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications

Salary:

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 US

Bonus Opportunity: 20% of annual salary
