Overview:

This role will be responsible for the invoicing and collections processes associated with our community solar projects as well as supporting revenue reporting and reconciliation for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and send invoices for community solar participants in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of all invoicing transactions and customer accounts.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding billing issues, account status, and payment history.
  • Monitor and reconcile invoicing discrepancies and work towards timely resolution.
  • Maintain accounts receivable aging and support collections on past due accounts.
  • Track and review project data such as solar production and allocate credits appropriately.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of invoicing policies and procedures.
  • Generate and analyze monthly and ad hoc reporting related to invoicing, customer savings and balances.
  • Generate and review monthly journal entries in the billing system (subledger) and provide to Accounting team.
  • Coordinate with the Finance team to ensure accurate revenue and cash recognition.
  • Process vendor bills and purchase orders for Community Solar team.
  • Work with Accounts Payable team to reconcile vendor records in NetSuite and ensure timely payment to our vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in customer invoicing and accounts receivable.
  • Some experience in accounts payable or accounting roles preferred.
  • Proficient in billing software such as Zuora Billing and accounting software like NetSuite a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment, including personal flexibility in day-to-day work.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to easily connect with all types of people.
  • Positive attitude, passion for renewable energy.

Salary:

Annual Salary $60,000 - $65,000 USD

Bonus Opportunity: 15% of annual salary
